MyAirco Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
MyAirco is a local-control application for compatible Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioners with WF-RAC modules. This policy explains which data the app accesses and how it is handled.
MyAirco is developed independently by Yellowox. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Product and service names are used only to describe compatibility.
Data stored on your device
MyAirco stores the airco names you choose, WF-RAC identifiers, local IP addresses, the selected home Wi-Fi name (SSID), connection information, last-contact times, a generated installation device identifier, HTTPS certificate fingerprints, and your language preference in the app's local storage. This information is used only to find and control your aircos on your local network. The selected SSID and installation identifier are also sent directly to the WF-RAC module when its local protocol requires them; they are never sent to the MyAirco developer or a remote service.
The router password entered during setup is kept only in memory while the setup screen is open. It is sent directly to the selected WF-RAC module over the temporary local Wi-Fi connection required by the module. MyAirco does not store the password after setup.
Wi-Fi and location permissions
The optional router-network dropdown asks Android for nearby Wi-Fi access and precise foreground location permission because Android protects active Wi-Fi scan results with those permissions. This access happens only after you choose to show nearby networks while MyAirco is in the foreground. MyAirco uses the results only to display network names and preselect the connected network. It does not collect, infer, retain, or transmit your physical location. You can decline the permission and enter the Wi-Fi name manually. Pairing and normal airco control do not require location permission.
Network traffic and sharing
The current version has no account, cloud service, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting service, or tracking SDK. MyAirco does not sell or share user data. App traffic is limited to compatible devices on numeric private or link-local network addresses. Some WF-RAC firmware supports only local HTTP; HTTPS certificates are pinned when a module supports HTTPS.
Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for MyAirco data.
Retention and deletion
Local airco information remains on the device until you remove that airco, clear the app's storage, or uninstall MyAirco. Removing an airco also removes its saved HTTPS certificate fingerprint. Because MyAirco has no account or cloud database, there is no remote account data to delete.
If a future version adds optional remote control or any cloud service, this policy and the in-app disclosures will be updated before that feature is made available.
